Proposals Now Being Accepted

Conference sessions can be 30 or 45 minutes in length inclusive of introductory and closing remarks and Q&A.  If you feel your session would benefit from a longer time frame, please ask!

You will have an opportunity to indicate the amount of time you would prefer.

Membership in WSMTA is not a requirement to submit a proposal or present a session.
All selected presenters are required to register for at least one day of the conference. Presenters receive a discounted registration fee.  The discounted registration fee is the only form of compensation for the presentation. Printing expenses will be reimbursed.
Sessions should not be commercial in nature.

The Conference Committee is looking for:

  • Pedagogy sessions that apply to all instruments and all levels group lessons; composition; jazz; ensembles; adult students; and accompanying skills
  • Studio management: marketing; policies; communication skills
  • Balancing one’s personal and professional life
  • Music and Movement
  • Mental Health in the Music Lesson
  • Sessions focused on Vocal, Winds, Brass and Strings
