Call for Proposals for 2019 WSMTA Conference

    PROPOSALS NOW BEING ACCEPTED
    • Conference sessions can be 30 minutes, 45 minutes, 60 minutes, or 75 minutes in length inclusive of introductory and closing remarks and Q&A. You will have an opportunity to indicate the amount of time you would prefer (the Programming Committee will determine the length of each presentation).
    • Membership in WSMTA is not a requirement to submit a proposal or present a session.
    • All selected presenters are required to register for at least one day of the conference. Presenters receive a discounted registration fee.
    • The discounted registration fee is the only form of compensation for the presentation. Printing expenses will be reimbursed.
    • Sessions should not be commercial in nature.

  • 2019 WSMTA Conference committee is particularly interested in providing sessions that may address some of the following areas:

    • Sessions for instruments other than piano.
    • Pedagogy sessions that may apply to all instrumentations: group lessons; composition; jazz; ensembles; adult students; and accompanying skills.
    • Studio management: marketing; policies; communication skills; and balancing personal/professional life.
    • Teaching the non-competitive student.
    • Teaching with an emphasis on creativity.

  • PROPOSALS MUST BE RECEIVED BY NOVEMBER 15, 2018.

    You will receive a message confirming that your proposal has been received by the Conference Planning Committee.

    The length of time you have requested is not guaranteed. The Programming Committee will determine the length of each presentation and will try to accommodate all requests.
