The Clarion
The Clarion newsletter is emailed to the membership and subscribers in the first week of each month (with the exception of July). It has links to take you to the blog posts or other points of information on the website. It looks a little something like the photo you see here (click on the image to see an entire newsletter):
The Clarion contains:
Newsletter shoutouts, links to blog posts and website information, event information, and ads.
Deadline for submissions:
Clarion submissions must be sent before the 20th of the month and will appear in the next month’s Clarion newsletter.

The WSMTA Blog
A brief summary and link for a WSMTA blog post appears in the Clarion (see photo). A blog post has more detail and information. Click here to go to the blog – it used to be called “Latest News”. The WSMTA Blog lives on the website and includes detailed event wrap-ups.
You can search the WSMTA Blog according to categories and the five most recent blog posts are always featured on the WSMTA home page.
Deadline for submissions:
Any blog post will be posted on the WSMTA Blog within 7 days of receipt and will appear in the next month’s Clarion.
Where you will find blog posts:
They are part of the Clarion – a link found in the Clarion will take you to the WSMTA Blog on the website. Blog posts stay on the website indefinitely for easy searching later on.
Newsletter Shoutout
A newsletter shoutout is part of the monthly Clarion newsletter email. It is typically a report or wrap-up about an event sponsored by a chapter or district.
Deadline for submissions:
Please send in your newsletter shoutout whenever you have the information ready – any shoutout sent before the 20th of the month will appear in the next month’s Clarion newsletter.
Where you will find Newsletter Shoutouts:
They are part of the Clarion, found in your email inbox. This information may appear on the website as well for a limited time.
An Event Invite
An Event Invite is a separate email to WSMTA members and Clarion subscribers. It is typically about an event of interest to members, often an event sponsored by a chapter or district.
Deadline for submissions:
Please allow seven days for turnaround for your submission. WSMTA is eager to share the information, but it takes a bit of time from receipt to sending out the message.
