Help WSMTA Support Students and Teachers

There are many ways to help the Washington State Music Teachers Association advance music knowledge and education.
Consider a donation to one of the following funds, or support  WSMTA with your everyday purchases at Amazon.

Judith Price Benevolent Fund

WSMTA has established an Emergency Fund, the proceeds of which are designed to help students, families, and teachers who are beset with unexpected financial calamities due to natural disasters, loss of employment, or sudden illness.

Student Enrichment Fund

Since its inception 100 years ago, WSMTA has been committed to promoting excellence in music education for students of all levels. Our Student Enrichment Fund assists competition winners with grants to help with travel expenses as they progress to the division and national levels. The fund also provides the prize money for the student winners of the annual Outstanding Artist Competition. We have partnered with MusicLink, a national program to bring music study opportunities to low income students. Our student study grant program provides financial assistance to needy students who have demonstrated a long-term commitment to music study. WSMTA is grateful to our many donors whose generous help over the years has enabled us to continue these programs.

Whitner Study Grant

This grant is to provide financial assistance for continued private study to committed music students who demonstrate a financial need. The grant may only be used to offset the cost of music lessons, theory or composition classes, or tuition for music camps.  For more information, see our Scholarships page.

Teacher Enrichment Fund

The Teacher Enrichment Fund has been established to offer grants toward certification, small chapter workshops, district conferences, conference waivers, dues waivers and generally provide assistance in many ways for our members.
